Economical solution requires no user training and deploys in less than one day
October 8, 2007, Hackensack, NJ - PaperClip Incorporated, a leading provider of mission-critical communications software and services for businesses and government organizations using the Internet, has released eM4, its new compliant email service. eM4 offers businesses an innovative, easy-to-use and cost-effective solution to the industry's demand for a solution that ensures that all emails and attachments are secure, compliant and traceable.
eM4, which stands for "e-mail 4 Compliance", is a unique service providing a level of true email compliance without undertaking the more cumbersome option of secure electronic document delivery. Unlike standard secure electronic delivery in which messages must be retrieved at a secure location, with eM4 users simply send email as usual. The system deploys in less than one day, requires no user training, and is affordable by an individual user to even the largest enterprise customers.
Early beta user Rich Acker, Director, Business Solution of Ash Brokerage in Fort Wayne, Indiana states "We needed a compliant email solution and as we began evaluating our options, the choice to use eM4 was clear. The minimal effort it takes to support the system, combined with eM4's D3P [disinterested third party]-level auditing gives us a higher level of compliance than any of the other options we investigated. Plus, it was deployed and operational in only one day"
Until now, the industry has lacked a truly compliant email solution, which by industry definition requires that a disinterested third party maintain both the keys used to encrypt the data and a "chain of custody" audit of the emails themselves. eM4, which fulfills both of these requirements, documents the secure life of the email across the Internet and provides the industry with a bar-raising solution that ensures the highest level of fully auditable confidentiality. eM4 captures email metadata and stores it so that all subscribers can reconcile and reproduce the information for necessary audits. A secure web portal provides access for interactive auditing and period reporting.
"The current market solutions in use today for secure electronic delivery are short of the mark", explains Mike Bridges, president of PaperClip Incorporated. "The industry was in need of a new paradigm. We're very pleased to provide eM4 as that paradigm-shifting solution."
eM4 subscriber service is so easy to use that it requires no user training. The system does all the work behind the scenes, with the user barely detecting any difference from usual email activity. Simple encoding rules secure emails across the Internet in a compliant manner, and no user keys are required, which eliminates the cost of keys and their associated management. Non-subscribers can also use eM4 to reply to subscriber emails in secure and compliant way. The cost of use is so economical that 'Lite' subscribers can initiate secure email to subscribers for as little as $2 per year.
"The rapid adoption of eM4 service is very exciting", states Suzy Tuck, vice president of sales for PaperClip Incorporated. "Our clients understand their obligation to keep customer information confidential and this service keeps it simple. Over the last nine years, we ve seen Internet eXpress, our electronic document package delivery service that ensures the secure exchange of electronic documents, grow to tracking over 30 million documents exchanged this year alone. Our customers are glad to see their emails will be just as safe with eM4 and are benefiting from its simplicity."
