PaperClip Document Recognition
PaperClip Document Recognition (DocRec) is an application of exciting technology called "Pattern Recognition". This technology produces an electronic fingerprint which is unique to the document, not much different than human fingerprints. PaperClip has applied this technology to two business processes; forms and drawn documents type recognition and auto filing.
DocRec creates an "ease of use" variable where users can simply scan all related pages into one file (tiff or pdf), identify unique id (Loan#, Case#, Claim#, Policy#, etc.) and submit. PaperClip32 receives the compound document (BLOB) into the appropriate electronic folder where the DocRec Processor assembles documents providing page level operations. End results are documents identified the way you need them with valuable reporting data.
DocRec now allows for effortless capture with the indexing automation you require. Indexing, document prep (rotate, de-skew, re-order, report exceptions, detect fraud) and doctype translation eliminates the laborious and time consuming process deployed today. DocRec now makes imaging make sense.
PaperClip DocRec is available as a product and/or service. The application provides users with many features:
- DocRec Page Level Recognition (PLR) provides for page level functions enhancing the users experience and "In Good Order" status.
- Rotate page to proper orientation eliminating mouse clicks.
- De-Skew image created by poor source documents or scanning miscues.
- Re-Order pages that were captured out of sequence.
- Report exception such as missing documents or pages.
- Detect fraud for altered documents failing fingerprinting.
- PDF capture supports converting PDFs to TIFFs for DocRec processing.
- TIFF normalization converts TIFFs to desired resolution and compression.
- Forms processing maintains a "Static" library of forms which define doctypes.
- Form pages are scanned as 300 dpi, Group 4 compressed TIFF files and imported into the forms library as identified pages. Pages are then assembled into document types you want to receive.
- Pages can be marked optional meaning include them in the final document and do not file an exception if not present.
- Drawn Document Processing maintains a "Dynamic" library of documents by doctype per folder or account. These are the documents presented to the customer for wet signature. The same closed documents are captured with minimal metadata, the unique library is quickly retrieved and processed.
- Out going documents pre-filed with client information (Call Centers, Disclosure, Closing documents, etc.) are captured in PaperClip32 with correctdoctype. DocRec processes and stores their fingerprints for all the document pages relating to that instance or folder. Returning compound images are then fingerprinted, matched and assembled under the appropriate document type.
- With original documents (library) and the returning documents, a comparison can be completed for fraud detection.
- PaperClip BarCode supported with Folder Coversheet for added automation.
- PaperClip Workflow expands attended and unattended processes, alerts and reporting.
