The service goes beyond the simple securing or encrypting of emails and their attachments. To use the term Compliant requires a disinterested third party to maintain the keys used to encrypt and a "chain of custody" audit of the emails themselves.

Is designed as a "many too many" solution deployed in the subscriber's data center or desktop isolating the users from any interaction. IT departments eliminate the need to support web mail servers or desktop applications.

The Problem...

The FTC Safeguard Rules require Financial, Insurance and Medical providers to protect their customer's private information or Non Public Information (NPI). This requires special handling of electronic information specific to Email on the public Internet. Email messages must be encrypted before releasing them on the Internet.

Many organizations in an effort to comply have deployed solutions securing their internal domain traffic but either send in clear text to their trading partners or share their proprietary interface. These one too many solutions while achieving compliance for the one, have created an intolerable problem for their Trading partners and in some cases, cannot meet their own compliance.
