Secure Email
eXchange4 Secure Email conveniently enables users to electronically transmit documents securely over the Internet to any third party, whether they participate in the eXchange4 network or not. Regardless of how a document is delivered, PaperClip32 users benefit from a single workflow for exchanging documents with trading partners.
Secure Email provides 128-bit encryption which ensures security and limits liability exposure from privacy laws. Secure Email also enables users to transmit large files which generally could not be transmitted over e-mail.
Fast, secure communications
For document delivery, users simply pass documents to be transmitted into eXchange4 Secure Email. The intended recipient is then notified via e-mail that they have a document package to pick up, and are provided a link to a password-protected Web page where they establish secure communications. That is, Secure Email only uses e-mail for notifications, not for document delivery.
eXchange4 Secure Email notifies the sender once the document package has been downloaded. If the documents are not downloaded within 36 hours, a second notice is sent to the intended recipient. A third and final notice is sent within 72 hours if the documents have not been downloaded. After five days from the first download, the documents are purged from the delivery system and the metadata is rolled into the history file for inquiries.
