Secure Email
Secure Email is a PaperClip service which enables users to electronically transmit documents securely over the Internet to a third party. With Secure Email, documents arrive within minutes, and can be easily accounted as a result of built-in tracking mechanisms. The technology reduces the time and cost to process documents by an order of magnitude.
Unlike standard e-mail, Secure Email provides 128-bit encryption which ensures security and limits liability exposure from privacy laws. It also enables users to transmit large document files which generally could not be transmitted over e-mail.
Secure Email is seamlessly integrated with PaperClip32, offering a highly efficient document delivery solution.
Using Secure Email is simple
First, documents are easily consolidated into a package via PaperClip32 or DECS, PaperClip's document capture solution. Next, users simply pass the package of documents to be transmitted to Secure eXchange Secure Email. The intended recipient is e-mailed a link, which leads to a password-protect web page that enables the recipient to download the submitted documents. To view the downloaded document package, the recipient can simply download a free EDX viewer.
Secure Email will notify the sender once the documents have been downloaded. If the documents are not downloaded within 36 hours, a second notice is sent to the intended recipient. A third and final notice is sent within 72 hours if the documents have not been downloaded. After five days, the documents are purged from the delivery system, the metadata is rolled into the history file for inquiries, and the delivery attempt is recorded.
